Across South Derbyshire, people are quietly committing their time to make a difference to the lives of the people who live in the district.
The South Derbyshire Awards recognise, celebrate and thank the people who make such a difference in South Derbyshire and aim to raise aspirations and strengthen the relationships between communities, local charities and community groups and businesses.
2020 saw the launch of the South Derbyshire Awards, which was a result of combining the Active South Derbyshire Awards and the South Derbyshire Community Awards, enabling South Derbyshire CVS, Active South Derbyshire and South Derbyshire District Council to work in partnership and hold one bigger and better event for the whole district.
In 2021, the traditional South Derbyshire Awards event has been re-shaped into a virtual format, focusing on the incredible community volunteer response to the pandemic. Click here to read the press release.
